New Mexico was the worst in the nation in food insecurity when the Collaboration was formed and now is ranked 12th worst by the most recent U.S. Department of Agriculture state food insecurity report. The Collaboration's Intergenerational Summer Food Program fed 7,600 children at 64 sites in summer 2010. Many of the sites provided weekend food bags, gardening tips for seniors and nutritional education. Learn more »
