When breakfast is a part of the school day, just like lunch, a lot more kids get the chance to eat. That’s why this Valentine’s Day we’re asking breakfast, “Will you be our Valentine?”
Why? Because we love that breakfast gives kids like Reia the kickstart to the day they need to focus, learn and reach their full potential.
For kids who don’t have enough food at home, mornings at school can be hungry. But they don’t have to be. Breakfast after bell helps students get the fuel they need to start their day focused and ready to succeed.
Here are some ways you can join us in the fight to end childhood hunger, and show your love for breakfast this Valentine’s Day:
- Spread the word. Share this blog post and our website on social media and with your friends and family. Help spread the word about how we work to get every child a healthy breakfast.
- Speak up for kids. Kids across the country rely on meal programs at school—and they rely on you to make sure elected officials are protecting those programs. Use your voice to speak up for kids.
- Support our work. Your donations to No Kid Hungry go directly to feeding hungry kids, whether that's pushing hard for better policies or providing the supplies schools need to feed children, like refrigerators, carts and cooler bags.
