Nothing is more important to us than feeding kids.
But we also know it's critical to earn (and keep) the trust of the many people who are part of this work with us - our donors, our supporters and our local nonprofit partners. When you give your time, attention or money to No Kid Hungry, we want you to know it's being put to the best possible use to feed kids.
That's why we're delighted that Good Housekeeping magazine and the Good Housekeeping Institute today announced that No Kid Hungry has earned the Good Housekeeping Humanitarian Seal.
This is a special version of the iconic Good Housekeeping seal given not for a product or service, but for charitable work. Before today, this seal had only been given to one other organization. Experts at the Good Housekeeping Institute carefully vetted our financial health, accountability and our transparency, speaking extensively with our staff and many of the people we work with.
"After months of a deep-dive evaluation process which put every aspect of No Kid Hungry's performance under a microscope, we confidently stand behind their mission and are so proud they have earned our highest accolade, the GH Seal," said Laurie Jennings, director of the Good Housekeeping Institute.
We're grateful to Good Housekeeping for this recognition. The people who support the work of No Kid Hungry have always known it was one of the most effective ways to help kids, and now its official.
