Pregnancy is a crucial time, and access to nutritious food is vital for both mom and baby. Unfortunately, hunger can pose serious challenges during this journey. That's why our early childhood team at No Kid Hungry teamed up with the Gretchen Swanson Center for Nutrition to explore and support food as medicine interventions designed for pregnant individuals.
Our comprehensive landscape analysis brought together insights from 36 program implementers, aiming to tackle food insecurity during pregnancy and improve outcomes for little ones. The result? Our Food as Medicine Directory, a one-stop hub with info on organizations, contact details, program types, and descriptions.
Remember, it's not just about mom's health – it's about nurturing the entire family's well-being. Join us in creating a culture of good eating habits, starting right from day one. Together, we can give every child the best start in life possible.
