We know we can feed every kid in America, and we want everyone else to know it too.
We're teaming up with our friends at Discovery on a great new campaign that will reach millions of Americans over the next few years, raising both awareness about childhood hunger and the critical funds needed to end it.
Through shows on the Food Network, HGTV, TLC, and others, Discovery reaches a lot of people - including a quarter of women in the United States. Their Turn Up: Fight Hunger campaign will ensure that a lot more Americans understand the reality of childhood hunger and mobilize people to take action and donate.
Learn more about the program at TurnUp.org/take-action, where you'll find opportunities to donate, volunteer, sign a petition and share. Next year, the campaign will start to focus on getting out the vote for the 2020 election.
As many of us know, 1 in 7 kids in America lives with hunger. Too many of these children don't know where their next meal is coming from, and that stress, uncertainty, and lack of nutrition can stop them from growing up healthy and strong.
That's the bad news. The good news is that we have programs that work.
Unlike some of the problems facing us, this is one we know how to solve. We just need to get more people, more schools, more kids, and more community leaders on board. The Turn Up: Fight Hunger campaign will be a big step in that direction. We hope you'll take part and share with your friends and family.
