Thank you for your interest in the produce voucher program! On this page you will find answers to frequently asked questions and helpful resources to guide you through the enrollment process.
How to Join
Am I Eligible?
- Households with children ages 3-17 who are members of ANY Medicaid Health plan. (Medicaid Members: Did you get a Pink Letter? Visit Healthy.LA.gov for more info and update your contact information!)
- You live in OR your child’s doctor is in St. Landry, Acadia, or Lafayette parish. Enrollment is currently closed in Washington, Tangipahoa and St. Helena parishes.
- No income guidelines.
How to Enroll
- Complete the Registration and Enrollment Form Online and a card or vouchers will be mailed to you or you may be able to pick up your vouchers from a nearby enrollment site (see map below).

How to Use Produce Vouchers
You will receive HFPRx vouchers for a total of 6 months. You will receive the first 3 months worth of vouchers when you enroll. You will receive your second 3 months of vouchers by mail.
Vouchers can be used for fresh fruits and vegetables ONLY.
Each set of vouchers must be redeemed during the month listed on that voucher.
If you spend less than the amount on the voucher, no change will be given.
If you spend more than the amount on that voucher, you will need to pay the remaining amount.
You’ll receive $40 in vouchers each month, and can use them in any combination throughout the month.

How to Use the Healthy Savings Card
Your Healthy Savings card will be loaded on the 1st of each month with $40 for fresh fruits and vegetables.
- If you spend more than $40 a month, you will need to pay the remaining balance. If you spend less than $40 a month, benefits will not roll over.
- Benefits expire at the end of the month and do not roll over.
You will receive benefits for a total of 6 months.
You can use your card at any of the participating stores, including Walmart and Albertsons. Find participating stores that accept the Healthy Savings card near you.
At check-out, simply present your card to be scanned by the cashier, and the cost of your fruit and vegetable purchase will be automatically deducted from your monthly benefit amount.

Louisiana Medicaid is mailing member households a pink letter. If you received a letter, this means we have your correct contact information. If you have not received a letter by the end of May, you need to update your contact information. You can do this by visiting the self-service portal at MyMedicaid.la.gov, by emailing MyMedicaid@la.gov or by calling Medicaid at 1-888- 342-6207
