Courtney C. Smith
Courtney C. Smith serves as Managing Director of Culinary Partnerships and Events, creating innovative fundraising initiatives, events, and experiences that unite culinary professionals, enthusiasts, and industry leaders. In this role, she leads strategy on various engagement opportunities that raise funds and awareness for the organization’s mission.
Prior to joining Share Our Strength in 2014, Courtney was the director of events at the Ronald Reagan Building in Washington, D.C. There she executed hundreds of events for both for-profit and nonprofit organizations.
Courtney has over 20 years of fundraising and event experience. She is a Certified Meeting Professional (CMP) with a Bachelor of Arts in Managerial Economics from Allegheny College in Meadville, Pennsylvania. Courtney lives in Aldie, Va. with her husband and two children.
What’s your “why?” I joined Share Our Strength the same year I became a mom and the work immediately resonated with me. Being able to do what I love, while ensuring kids receive the meals they need to thrive has been a no brainer.
My idea of fun is: A busy Saturday filled with multiple sporting events, and being with family and friends.
