WASHINGTON (Jan. 14, 2020) – Share Our Strength, a national anti-hunger organization, has appointed Jill Davis as Chief Revenue Officer. Promoted from her role as Senior Vice President of Corporate Partnerships, Davis will lead the organization’s revenue generating programs, with the goal of ensuring every child gets the healthy food they need every day.
Serving on the executive leadership team, Davis will collaborate with Share Our Strength’s CEO to establish the overarching strategy for all verticals within the revenue program, and will work with a talented senior development team to implement tailored tactics to enhance the performance of each revenue stream. Davis will also serve as a key ambassador to donors and partners for Share Our Strength’s No Kid Hungry campaign, expanding corporate partnerships to new industries and leading Share Our Strength efforts to grow individual giving.
“Throughout her time at Share Our Strength, Jill has been a key player in the growth of our corporate partnerships platform, and as senior lead, has worked closely with each of the members of her team to provide support for their strong portfolios,” said Tom Nelson, president & chief executive officer at Share Our Strength. “Jill has distinguished herself as a strategic thinker, skilled manager, effective communicator and a strong relationship builder. We have been lucky to have her leading one of our most significant revenue streams and we now have her vision and leadership for all of our revenue work. I believe she is the right person to continue the growth in our revenues that is needed to achieve our vision and mission.”
Davis joined Share Our Strength in 2014, and most recently served as the organization’s Senior Vice President of Corporate Partnerships and Taste of the Nation. In this role, Davis oversaw the engagement of national corporate partnerships in the No Kid Hungry campaign, including Citi, Walmart Foundation, Tyson, Amazon and many more, as well as cause-related marketing, corporate sponsorships, consumer fundraising, and strategic philanthropy. Davis also led the Taste of the Nation culinary event series, which is held in more than 20 cities.
“Over the past five years, it’s been an honor to be a part of—and ultimately have the privilege to lead—a team of such talented corporate partnership professionals, as well as steward relationships with incredible, industry-leading partners,” said Davis. “As I step into this role, I’m excited to collaborate with Share Our Strength’s partners, donors, and staff in innovative, new ways, and continue to raise the bar on our impact as we work to end childhood hunger in this country.”
During her nearly 20-year career, Davis has served as Director, External Affairs for the Elizabeth Glaser Pediatric AIDS Foundation, as well as in senior-level revenue and communications positions with the National Osteoporosis Foundation and ALSAC/St Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
