WASHINGTON, DC – Share Our Strength is excited to welcome Kathy Green as Director, No Kid Hungry Texas. Green will lead the expansion of our No Kid Hungry Texas Campaign focused on ending child hunger.
“Kathy has extensive experience locally and statewide in Texas focused on food policy, public education, and health and human services,” says Adrienne Allen, Managing Director. “I am thrilled to welcome Kathy to our Share Our Strength family.”
Prior to joining Share Our Strength, Green served as the Senior Director of Advocacy and Public Policy at the Central Texas Food Bank. Green has also worked with the Texas Department of Agriculture, and has been a legislative director and policy analyst both inside and outside the state capitol. Green holds a BA from the University of Texas at Austin, and spends her time active on a number of community boards, including Generation Citizen, the Austin Public Library Foundation, and the Austin ISD District Advisory Council. She is the proud mom of twin daughters and a son.
