As we gather with loved ones this holiday season, sharing meals and making memories, it’s hard to imagine that millions of kids living in America are living with hunger.
The good news is: hunger is a problem we know how to solve. This Giving Tuesday, we have the opportunity to double our support for programs we know work. Our leading partner, Citi, will be matching gifts up to $500,000 on December 3rd only to support the programs that are making a difference in the lives of kids.
NBC’s TODAY visited Thomas Jefferson Elementary in Louisa County, Virginia to witness how school breakfast is helping kids start the day strong. No Kid Hungry and the school district have partnered to ensure these meals get to kids.
Your donations can make a difference today. But don’t take it from us. Ms. Rosson, a teacher at Thomas Jefferson Elementary, wrote us a letter about the difference that breakfast makes in her classroom.
Ways You Can Help
- Donate: $1 can help provide 10 meals* for kids. Your support will help us fund meal programs all over the country and help us advocate for policies that will help kids get the meals they need. *Donations help support programs that feed kids; No Kid Hungry does not provide individual meals. Learn more at NoKidHungry.org/OneDollar.
- Speak up for kids: Reach out to your elected officials and ask them to do more to end childhood hunger. Tell your lawmaker to advocate for policies that will help kids get the meals they need.
